Happy Homemaker Monday, Welcome November -

A bit of a slow start so it’s an afternoon post for today. Hope everyone who celebrated has fully recovered from the Halloween weekend and the time change (so excited to see daylight in the early morning hours again!).

The Weather

This was the sunrise on Thursday of last week

Well, it was supposed to storm at 1p.m. and it’s now 3p.m. Nothing yet. 74 and cloudy out there right now. Temps all week in the 60’s and high 50’s, that’s new maybe we’re getting back to normal a bit. More rain chances tomorrow.

As I Look Outside My Window

It’s cloudy, the mailman just walked by, and none of the neighbors have traded out Halloween decor for Christmas quite yet. Also, I stepped outside to grab the mail and it’s quite windy, probably get some rain yet.

Right Now

Can you find the nuthatch in the nest? I was excited to see a bird in this nest as I never knew what bird lived in them.

Taking a bit of a break from doing what I have no idea.

Thinking And Pondering

Same as last week, J’s birthday and the upcoming holidays. Election stress, glad we voted early one day last week. Beyond excited for the end of the political ads. Being close to a state line is great but not so fun at election time, twice the ads. Blah!

How I Am Feeling

Woke up with a headache and it is still here. So I’m feeling a bit grouchy today.

Oatmeal, a piece of sausage, and coffee.

Kind of just snacked, had a cinnamon roll when I got home from the store. Then, later ate a yogurt and some blueberries. Plus, since Halloween was Saturday, a peanut butter cup from our leftover candy.

I had high hopes when I took a picture of the French toast cooking. However, the recipe was NOT a keeper. French toast is not meant to be fancy, I think.

MONDAY: Chicken and Noodles

TUESDAY: Carnitas, rice (Carnitas meat already in freezer)

WEDNESDAY: Turkey Club Sandwiches on Croissants

THURSDAY: Pepper steak

FRIDAY: Pizza or Ham Steak and Sweet Potatoes or OUT

What I’m Wearing Today

Had on a yellow t-shirt with my black skort but have now changed and am wearing a Missouri State t-shirt with them. Yellow shirt got super dusty while I was cleaning a much neglected bookshelf.

On My TV

Football. Those Chiefs. Ugh. I said yesterday that they got into the Christmas spirit early because they certainly gave that game away. Grumble. Not to mention some of their recent choices…more grumbling. Some good games on before and after that one though.

Watched Halloweentown over the weekend. Mostly though I’ve just been putting on a background on you-tube with some peaceful music playing. My tv watching tends to come in spurts.

On My To Do List

Grocery store *DONE* hurried to do it before the 1p.m. rain, ha.
Target trip at some point
Pay homeowners insurance *DONE*
Start clearing away clutter in the living room *In progress, see reference above to super dusty and neglected bookshelf*
Put away Halloween decor, did I just get this out? Yes. It’s okay, I have some fall/Thanksgiving that stays/comes out.
Still need to make pesto, drop off donations, and measure the indoor plants
Clean out/see what is in freezer
Buy picture frames
Renew hosting stuff for the blog
Look at all our 10 million streaming services and see what we need to cancel so we can hopefully take advantage of black Friday deals (if they don’t have deals, then…maybe we’ll only have 1/2 million streaming services next year)
