Happy Homemaker Monday, Weekend Travels

A bit late with my post today. We just returned from a lovely weekend spent with good friends in Arkansas.

So, I’m joining Sandra over at Diary Of A Stay At Home Mom for an evening edition of Happy Homemaker Monday.

The Weather

It was a little chilly over the weekend in Arkansas with early morning temperatures in the lower to mid 40’s. It is also, a bit chilly here at home in KC tonight. Ahem, a bit early but I actually tested the heat out for a minute when we got home. It’s supposed to be in the mid to upper 70’s the rest of this week, lows in the 50’s and not much chance of rain this week.

As I Look Outside My Window

We woke to some foggy mornings

Need to fill the bird feeders tomorrow and I’m noticing the days getting shorter as it’s 6:30 and the sun is starting to set.

Right Now

Working on this post but also thinking about taking a quick break to go take a shower as well as texting back and forth with G.

Thinking And Pondering

How to get back on schedule after four days completely off of it. And update: I did decided to shower. I’m also pondering where I put my deodorant as I put it somewhere other than where it goes. Not quite the same deep thoughts from the last couple of weeks, ha.

How I Am Feeling

Much better after showering.

On The Breakfast Plate

Coffee, a couple pieces of bacon, and a sausage biscuit. Plus a bottle of water with a LMNT packet in it. I’d had a really bad leg cramp over night and knew it was because I was a bit dehydrated. Am I the only one who just doesn’t drink enough water when out of town/traveling?

On The Lunch Plate

Remember we were traveling so this is a bit wonky. I didn’t want McDonald’s with everyone else so I walked across the street to the Starbucks in a grocery store in Springfield, MO. Turned out a restaurant within the store was having a grand opening and giving free samples so I had a little free sample of something from a place called Island Fin Poke. It was really good! Since it wasn’t a huge amount, I also ate the rest of my homemade oatmeal creme pie cookie I’d had from the night before. Oh, and a pumpkin creme chai drink from Starbucks.

On The Dinner Plate

We had frozen pizza tonight. Easy meal night.

On The Menu

My tortizza from lunch one day last week

MONDAY: Frozen pizza

TUESDAY: We might just do Rotisserie Chicken, potatoes, and odd but I have a frozen pumpkin pie I need to bake (I bought it on clearance early in the summer and I noticed the best by date is tomorrow)

WEDNESDAY: Spicy potato soup

THURSDAY: Might throw something on the grill

FRIDAY: No idea

*All of this could change as I’ve not been to the store yet*

What I’m Wearing Today

After my shower, I’m now wearing my Kansas City Chiefs pajamas

On My Reading Pile

Currently between books…

On My TV

Thank goodness we could still watch our team in Arkansas although we weren’t used to them not cutting away from the early game to show it from the beginning. FIVE and OH. Yes, how about those Chiefs?  Enjoying this week as I guess we’re probably going to really find out about them next Sunday night when their opponent is a bit more challenging.

On My To Do List

  1. Laundry
  2. Pay a couple bills
  3. Grocery Store
  4. Meeting a friend for lunch tomorrow
  5. Target
  6. Maybe actually get the Halloween/Fall decor set out this week
  7. Clean the house (always)
  8. Clean out purse
  9. Garden chores, maybe…might get one more week or 2 out of the garden, so odd
  10. Start thinking about J’s birthday/Christmas planning

What I Am Creating

Nothing yet

Something Fun To Share

This road name made me smile.

And yet, I did not see any actual kettle corn anywhere!
